    That's an easy case to make if his lawyer is any good, especially with the public already knowing how close he is with his sister and mother

    He can claim they created a toxic environment and more importantly, if he does have knowledge of things that happened behind closed doors, which I would think he does, that is the key

    And this is exactly what I think Tate's lawyer is doing with the domestic violence issue. They can disguise it with whatever cover they want but Tate was inside that program for 2 years and I'm willing to bet he knows things they don't want public.

    Not even mentioning the wife beater, suspension and subsequent "retirement" of his head coach who hand picked him for his offense. Every coach who recruited him is now gone and most as a result of a very hostile environment, Tate's case is a thousand percent better than Fields'.

    I don't know what else he could have used but always felt the race thing was extremely weak. Either way it makes me wonder how he got approved in a month.

    Fields' lawyer stated that they didn't use the racial incident for his waiver. He didn't say what they did use but was adamant that it had nothing to do with that.

    Manny and Blake have already commented that they expected a decision by now. One was on Joe Rose and the other I think the Herald. After that, they said they expect a decision soon. Seems as they're already starting to poke the bear.
