Funny how some UM fans have such over-critical, irrational views of the players. I know UF, FSU, and an OSU fan all who came away from that game saying they were impressed with Williams given it was his first game, and that he looks like he's going to be a really good one for us very soon...

Yeah, we shouldn't expect a freshman QB getting his first ever real game experience against a very good, aggressive defense, with a porous offensive line, in primetime, against a hated rival, to struggle at all.

That's not concerning unless it becomes a pattern over many games, with no signs of growth. As far as a first ever start, first ever real game experience, weak oline, rivalry game, facing a good defense, it was what any reasonable person would expect. He showed lots of promise.
