I remember seeing a clip of them performing Sober live when they were younger and he hit one high note so ******* beautifully, guy is an outstanding singer and an even better writer imo.

Speaking of Tool, what’s y’all’s fav album from them? I really love 10,000 Days and Ænima, lateralus is great too but I feel like I listen to those two the most. Never really got into Undertow too much outside of a few songs like Prison *** and sober. Really liked Fear Inoculum too but I haven’t...

Let’s not forget about the great Steve Vai, absolute masterclass guitarist who plays with passion and doesn’t just play crazy fast but always serves the music. Also Ibanez guitars are pretty badass!

Here’s a song from the greatest Canadian band of all time, and imo the greatest rock trio ever, that doesn’t get appreciated more. Love the entirety of Fly By Night, great album by a group of guys who were only just starting to tap into their musical potential at the time. Went to go see them...

Dimebag was an absolute powerhouse, Alex Lifeson of Rush is criminally underrated too, all u need to do is listen to La Villa Strangiato to know how godly he is. Guys like Kirk Hammett looked to him for inspiration just to give y’all an idea.

PUSA is pretty great too, they’re kinda in the same vein as Primus in terms of wacky subject matter and the whole thing. Other songs like Naked & Famous and Peaches are good too.

Yes! Ronnie James Dio had one of the best voices in rock history, absolute legend. Plus he was in the Pick of Destiny movie by Tenacious D, RIP to a goat!

Extremely solid list! Dad loves the eagles, take it easy might be my go-to song from them (RIP Glenn Frey). Jethro Tull is way too slept on imo, another band that were innovators esp in the prog sub-genre. Locomotive Breath, hymn 43, songs from the wood, the whistler, and ofc aqualung are some...

While everyone here recognizes Zep as legendary, let’s dig deeper. I truthfully don’t believe they have any throwaway songs in their entire discography. Maybe some from Coda, but my God they are the best band that ever was or ever will be (I’m biased I can’t help it). Also feel like people...

Thank you for this, just added that song to the playlist, Dayes was getting really busy on those drums and that guitarist is no joke! Forgot about Abasi, guy is your fav guitar player’s fav guitar player. The sweep picking in this alone is unreal, a true craftsman.

Amen Rell, u were taught well. Same approach I take, that’s why I love seeing reaction videos of rap guys listening to metal/rock songs for the first time and being blown away or vice versa. Taking the blinders off is important when it comes to something as limitless and...

Fusion bands are great, that’s what makes artists like Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, and Santana (Latin jazz rock) so interesting and fun to listen to. Also in terms of bass players I highly recommend listening to Victor Wooten, man is a musical genius.

Was that during the Moving Pictures tour? If so then that explains everything lmao one of the best rock albums of all time imo. Also Van Halen during that David Lee Roth era was so amazing, brought so much energy with their music. Also can we take a moment to appreciate how amazing this song is?
