OK so we are now through episode 8 of season 2. I thought House of Cards was dark. Holy effing ****.

Wife and I are in the middle of season 1. Does it pick up action wise eventually? Seems like it's moving pretty slowly so far but I'm guessing that's just a set up for things to come.
