We want him at CB, if he is as good as his ranking, he has a chance to play early there. Our CB room while drastically improved from the gump abomination it was last year is still not great. In today's CFB the top 4 CBs on a team will play and play a good amount, cant imagine too many places...

He may not fix it but we need a major influx of talent and he definitely has a ton of that.

One thing to consider about Graves is that he was a Manny kid and not a Mario kid. Maybe just never bought in?

The top two are the only ones I expect any actual return on this season or ever. Freeney is question mark so he may end up pretty good just it’s unlikely to be this season. Davis is depth and that’s it.

We are thin but we do have some talent. The two transfer portal pickups were quality and then there is Damari. After that a bunch of question marks and that includes Stafford.

Regarding the bottom part, that’s how it usually goes. You recruit kids early but not the same way as their senior year. On top of that, most kids really grow into said red flags Junior senior years. Some may show flashes earlier but many not until now. This kid hasn’t even started his senior...

We have been talking about flipping both for a while but Heyward was the more likely one.

I’d imagine it’s a touchy situation in general. Something happened on that visit and UGA pushing him out raises even more eyebrows. At the same time, unlike UGA we aren’t in position to turn down talent like this especially since we liked him at CB. So to do so would mean kid might be a cancer...

That and I think they maybe trending for other prospects they value more. They already have 26 committed.

Seriously though, I don’t get the need for mental gymnastics. We won’t get everyone, no shame you missed on a DB who decided to play for Kirby(a DB specialist) and the back to back champs.
