I think it stems from one subset of the board saying look at Kiffin’s numbers, he clearly would have been successful here as opposed to what Mario has done. And the other subset arguing he wouldn’t. Becoming really annoying to see so many threads derail into the same argument.

I wonder what Mario’s historical OL number look like. If he ideally prefers 8-9 guys who are ready to play then Bell and this transfer would make sense. The line also stayed relatively healthy all year last year. Odds are that will be tough to replicate. If you plug this kid into the equation...

That makes sense. I do wonder how many of the SEC type schools have guys in the hundreds of millions and billions. Probably a lot easier to write one check during the recruitment rather than over multiple years. Obviously TAMU does but even their NIL program seems sketchy.

Rich folks are rich for a reason. They won’t invest unless it’s a worthwhile investment. Which outside of someone’s ego, there probably minimal returns on NIL.
