It's been said repeatedly that they wanted him to come and throw for them and he did and then he got an offer same day. If they were recruiting him for JJ they would have offered a long time ago.

More competition never hurt. No limit on annual scholarships..if the situation doesn't work out one can transfer. What if one just flourishes in college and the other one doesn't? Bring them both and let the cream rise.

Would be even better if they both (JS and Bailey) just signed with Miami on signing day without flipping/recommitting prior to that.

This isn't just a "strategy" offer. If it was they would have offered him months ago so he could spend all season recruiting JJ for us. I see 2 possible scenarios: 1. They saw what they liked and offered. 2. Dawson didn't want him initially but Mario did. Now that Dawson is going to be gone...

At least there's a legitimate reason for the delay and the new offer so the kid can't be offended.
