Class Impact: Justin Hodges to Miami

You are wanting it to be that. He ran the 4.89 at a combine. Then he runs track this years and posts an 11.99 in the 100 meters. Are all the times wrong? One is the Opening laser time, and the high school tract times at 100m that are done by Timing/Results Track Timing & Data Management...

We are chasing after this legit 6 foot and 188 pounds DB (Xavion Alford) and we have Patke at a satellite camp in Texas today where he will be. This kid has not run track in high school but still posted a 4.55 in the 40 and a vertical of 36 inches at the Opening in Texas of March 17. This guy...

"...he has a chance to succeed here." Even you are not really convinced. Reverse your question and ask this: If you do not possess adequate speed for your position all the technique, desire and ability to play matters little in the top collegiate level.

Gurvan who is still learning his trade smokes Hodges and he does not have to worry about a lack of short or long speed. Flexible hips, etc. are fine but ballerinas and yoga masters have that but they cannot run.

Remember the game films of Joshua Sanguinetti he looked like a 4.5-4.6 at the slowest? He ran picks back for long TDs, punts back for TDs, long receptions as a WR, etc. (see Hudl film below and compare to Hodges). Sanguinetti played much faster. Then his combine testing numbers revealed he ran...

Would love to land Kewshan Lawrence. 6-3 and 190 pounds. Has not run much track in HS and only a meet as a freshman but finished second in one major meet he entered with a time of 11.55 in the 100m. Probably at 11 or maybe better now...
