I mean they are random people from Michigan. They are going to assume Miami at home means they are playing in Miami and unless you've been there you only know what you see on TV and hear about the crime statistics--which do look pretty bad on paper. I would caution against confusing ignorance...

Pretty sure the more visited a place is the more jokes that are made about it that's kind of how jokes work. Paris is like one of the most visited cities in the world and I'm pretty sure there's tons of jokes about Paris. We make fun of pretty much every place that a team we play comes from.

I am like 95% positive this is just a meme / joke from the last few weeks with that annoying @ss Applebee's commercial that's been bothering everybody. Just the Miami spin on that joke and it's pretty funny TBH.
