Because we have sucked for 15 years doing this kind of nonsense.

A lot of fans want testing freaks and camp warriors. People wonder how s fla guys get away to scrub schools and tear up the nfl while we live on the coaching carousel. Situations like this are a significant factor. Some guys are PURE FOOTBALL PLAYERS. You can’t measure their greatness with a...

To me Edge is the guy who took us from the dark, evil days of 97 and brought hope for a return to glory. It was bad watching Scott getting bow tied round the goal post. Complete despair. Edge took it by the horns and put the team on his back and showed we wasn’t dead. The golds. The dreads...

Look at the cuts. Look at the vision. Look at the broken tackles. Look how he is so patient, setting up blocks. He is always getting more yards after contact. Always falling forward. He doesn’t “look” that fast. Even on that first td, he looks like he’s jogging. None of those runs on their...

Bruh when number 32 took the field as a freshman, I was like who is this dude. He just ate up yardage. I was distraught when we got massacred by McNabb and crew. When Edge came back and ran for three bills and we upset UCLA, I knew everything was gonna be ok.

Edge didn’t have jaw dropping highlights in my opinion. He looked really good, but not otherworldly He made running the ball look real easy. A ten yard run was just ho him to him and he did it over and over and over. Next thing you look up, he got 200 yards. Other backs look flashier, but...

That’s one of the things I remember most about him. He rarely got pushed back and always got yards after contact. He was super patient, too. He never looked hurried looked hurried or ran up the backs of his blockers. That stride was deceptive. I always saw him as a low 4.5, high 4.4 guy.

Looked it up. You are right. I stand corrected. I guess it was his stride. To me he didn’t seem that fast. I always thought he got those runs from his vision and cutting. Guess he was more of a fast 40 acceleration guy than a a 100 blazing sprinter. He seemed to break down a bit in form on...

That’s the first I ever heard of Edge running a sub 4.4 40. He never looked like that type blazer, and I watched all his games, even back when he was # 32.

I was just expanding on an idea your post gave me. No disagreement.

Was Edge a testing freak? Did he blow you away with his highlights? I think the answer to both is no. When I watch Edge highlights, he has nice cuts, good speed, and runs with strength. But he never wowed you with any one run. He was ALWAYS getting 5, 10, and 15 yard runs. Every now and then...

I’m from Polk County. The only way we get guys from there is if they HATE the turds. We usually don’t pull guys who have them as a finalist on their list. HUGE **** base up here. My alma mater is in the same district and orange and blue is our colors. Lakeland has been a **** pipeline for...
