What is your solution for the situation where a young person, say 20 years old, tries to kill themselves, gets Baker Acted, is treated and then lives 20 years of normal life. Do they get their guns back? Ten years, 5 years, one year? That is why I chose "cured"................

In Florida, life saving treatment is administered even if the parents object. The same is not true on non-life or death situations.

If “cured” I have no problem. The problem is that today our society deems “under treatment” as “cured”. It is not.

Of course if you are under in-patient care (under the Baker Act) your guns are inaccessible.
