    Could it not have been better? It was fine, yes, but it can always, always be better. Having a staff in place would have helped, don't you think? Again, for those who have a hard time with reading comprehension, I am really happy with the hires. Ideally they would have been sooner...

    Well, considering signing day came and went, it could be said that it hurt the recruiting class not having the pieces in place. I am really happy with who he eventually hired, and it was worth the wait, but it was a bad look for two months. You know this.

    My man, heavy recruiters aren't going to be able to put their players in the best position to make plays. I get it, we need players, but at some point we need Xs and Os men or we're going to get our teeth kicked in by freaking Utah.

    His hiring meant we needed to nail the OC and DC positions. We need serious Xs and Os coaches in those positions. If we hire some recruiting guru that can't scheme his way out of a wet paper bag, it'll quickly turn into Open Mario season around here.

    It should never take someone this long to make important hires. It's one thing to take your time to get it right, but it's another to take your time, strike out over and over, then settle on someone, only to try to hype them up as a grand slam hire. I'm afraid that's what is going to happen...
