He's certainly keeping it simple. Hey, they are winning, but it's ugly. I keep thinking he's lulling them to sleep, then BOOM, up-tempo to close out the game.
I'm sure he's just protecting Allison in his first start.
But that is pushing out by not suiting your O to the talented players on your team. "Yeah, we know you can throw the ball, but that's not what we are looking for."
That's just it. I don't expect him to win this game, as they are playing a really good Syracuse team. He's not going against a scrub Wisconsin team. Still, he will make more plays than our QBs would.
Even Evan freakin Shirreffs went elsewhere and started. His team is pitiful, but seeing him make passes this year that our QBs can't make made me sick to my stomach. Is he really good? No. But when you see our backup QB leave and go look better elsewhere with little to no supporting staff...
