I know Gino and the staff absolutely re-recruit their top recruits around draft time. Whether that's a huge factor who knows, but the results have been there, at least as far as getting kids on campus.

Good news for us. Gage Ziehl turns down the Cubs after being drafted in the 11th round and will attend Miami. Gino deserves criticism for a lot of things, but he's done a great job these past few years getting recruits to choose Miami over signing.

Very Good for us Ligon didn't get picked. Irv Carter was the higher ranked prospect, but I'd take Ligon as more likely to be a good college pitcher. He's a good bet to be the midweek starter IMO.

Meh recruiting isn't our problem anyways. DiMare can recruit and the program recruits itself. I'm more concerned with what they're doing from a development standpoint, especially at the plate. All 3 of the big Florida programs had disappointing seasons, so our rivals have their own issues too.
