Pretty much. Although I'm not sure Louisville is more talented, they're just more experienced, as they have a bunch of good juniors/seniors. A certain poster will tell you that it's no excuse, but it's tough to win a series vs a top 5-6 team when your best starter gets hurt in the 1st inning...

Such as? We suck at fielding, but that can get fixed next year largely just by moving Zamora to OF. We lead the ACC in hitting and are 3rd in pitching. You dont really seem to know much about baseball. We're #14 in the RPI. Not bad for by far the youngest team in the ACC.

That's fine. But you criticized DiMare for not coaching to a 6-7 inning game. Which seems strange since that game was never going to be called, especially when Louisville was behind and the weather not getting worse. The game went 9 innings, so if you pull Van Belle that early, that means...

    Louisville

Nah. And if he pulls Van Belle early, then you ***** about that. Because they hit both Federman and Veliz like they were mediocre relievers, Federman especially.

    Louisville

And they hit Federman anyways. There wasnt a right move with the pitching today. Everyone wants to blame the coach, when Louisville just hit all of our best arms
  11. TheRichtShow

    Louisville

Who? You put Federman in during the 3rd inning? Cook or Gates (yeah that would be great)? Because you're not pitching anyone who threw in Game 2 today, that would be coaching malpractice.

Except college baseball players do get better, especially between years 1 and 3. It's no surprise the most fundamentally sound teams are loaded with Jrs and Srs. We're one of the youngest teams in the country. These guys are already getting better. I know you're complaining just to complain...

They hit Federman and Veliz every bit as much as they did Van Belle. Louisville hit all weekend. We went to sleep after the first inning of Game 3.

    Louisville

It's disappointing to lose Game 3 the way we did. But Louisville is a top-5 team. It's delusional to expect to win a road series vs them. They hit our best pitching in Game 3. That's what an elite team does.
  15. TheRichtShow

    Louisville

Yep, you're not throwing a guy in both games since that would risk an arm injury. So if you can save those 2 for Game 3, you do it. Any coach would do the same
  16. TheRichtShow

    Louisville

Nah. I'm not sure what your looking at but it only has to be 7 innings if both full games are being played on Sunday. Miami and Louisville could also agree for game 2 to only go 7, but I highly doubt Louisville would do that. Expect them to play out all 9 of game 2 tomorrow
  17. TheRichtShow

    Louisville

Doesnt really matter. The worst of the weather should be through by 11AM tomorrow. Probable light rain afterwards, but they can play through that, like they did today, since the field is turf. Unfortunately for Jagr, Louisville will have to play this out
  18. TheRichtShow

    Louisville

Have to think Federman or Mixon will be pitching

Here's the Rule: If a game has completed the bottom half of the 5th inning and either team is ahead, and in Minor League Baseball and college games if it is the final game of the series, the game can be deemed an official game. The leading team is declared the winner, and the game officially...
