More than enough depth? We literally have 5 DEs, and its a position where guys always get hurt and you need to rotate. Ideally you want 7-8 DE, and you have a problem moving a 4th string LB to be a 6th DE?

He wasn't going to see the field at LB this year and we need a 6th DE, so this is a no brainer move. Obviously its a more natural position for him in the short-term too, as he primarily played off the edge with his hand in the ground in HS
