We have not defeated a #1 seed in the postseason since 2008. As you said, the UF series usually tells us how we will eventually stack up against other good teams.

In 2020 we lost 3/3 games to Florida.

In 2017 we were one of the next three teams that just missed the field of 64. Just one win over #3 Florida, instead of getting swept, would have made the difference. You have to get some wins against the best teams on your schedule.

Another thing that you people say every single year. Then you're shocked when we bow out against another good team at the end of the year.

It most certainly is dependent on one series when you're #9 in the RPI and one win against an elite team would have vaulted you into a national seed. If we're competing with three other teams for the final national seed spot, and they have a slightly better RPI and one more win, then blowing...

I'm not sure you understand how the selection process works. The difference between 8 & 9 and 16 & 17 is razor thin. The UF series absolutely hurts us when they're comparing us to someone with a similar resume.

I’m sorry, but what “difference” are you referring to? We went 2-2 in a regional last year where, surprisingly, we couldn’t hit against a good team. This year we have had three tough games and we lost all three of them.

FYI - Gino DiMare was running the team during those seasons. You people have to quit acting as though Gino came in and turned things around. He is trying to overcome his own failures.
