Just FYI, Carlos Huerta had tuition remission, multiple family members worked at UM. His uncle was my Physics professor when I was still an Engineering major.

We need to end this myth now. Let's just speak like men. With absolute honesty. Santana Moss was ALWAYS going to be a scholarship football player, but Butch was definitely trying to game the system. Santana was initially put on a track scholarship but was always going to convert to football...

Has only "partially" been addressed by the new NCAA rules. Baseball needs to move to "headcount" scholarship rules, and increase the number given. You could easily offset the Title IX impact by fielding a women's softball team with "headcount" scholarships, not "equivalency" scholarships.

One day porsters point out that JJ Watt was a 2-star. The next day, porsters scream about Miami giving a PWO offer to a 3-star.

No, you're right about that. I'm not saying that we have a HUGE program for PWOs, or that our PWOs are the best, but we've had plenty of kids who put in the time and effort with absolutely no guarantee over the past few decades. If the kid can get scholarship money or pay his own way, get him...

Correct. We've had PWOs for decades, but now because kids are addicted to social media, somehow a "commitment" post gets slagged by some of our fans. It's a bit unusual, but it will be nice to have a 6' PWO playing cornerback as we try to reverse years of inconsistent CB recruiting. What are...

Yeah, the timing is interesting. For now, I will ASSUME he is not a Spring Semester enrollee, but if he was, he might have to go 1.5 years, I'm not sure if the football team awards scholarships mid-year.

Sure thing. You just keep believing that. I'll believe Cribby, that the kid would have gone to BC without a PWO offer from UM.

For the next 5 minutes, yes. We'll take 3-4 for 2022 though. T-Rob's workin'. ;)

Fairly certain that is the rule. It MIGHT depend on enrollment date, but otherwise, yes.

Yeah, I mean, I have nothing against this move, as long as it doesn't cost us an IC. I think we could put him on scholarship after 1 year without counting as an IC. I just think this ****e is hilarious, is all. Gaytors acting like they were gonna scoop up Savion Collins on the cheap, and...

This is an interesting situation... Gaytors try to get 3-star Savion Collins to walk on at UiF, where Collins would only have to pay in-state tuition, and Collins chooses G5 FIU instead. Miami has 3-star Myles Mooyoung pay exorbitant private school tuition, which he chooses to do over multiple...
