    ND/Wake postponed

For the record, besides the week prior to Clemson, our only two remaining "open dates" are Halloween (Clemson plays BC that day) and December 12th.

    ND/Wake postponed

Someone else brought up this genius strategery, and I think we should consider it. Smash F$U. Claim we are contact-tracing our whole team after playing F$U. Two-week quarantine for everyone. "Postpone" Clemson. Everyone back for Pitt. Go undefeated and somehow "never reschedule" the...

    ND/Wake postponed

I'm sure EVERYONE was promised "we'll do everything we can to make up the postponed games". Before the season, nobody knew which schools would get hit with Covid and which would not. Unfortunately for the ACC, two of the biggest offenders have been "possible contenders" like ND and VaTech. At...

    ND/Wake postponed

So now we have the reason for the ACC-CG being set for "December 12 OR December 19". December 12 is a "snow day" for teams that have Covid issues, particularly since ND, VaTech, and UVa have pretensions of making the ACC-CG. Let's solve all of their problems for them, by winning out.

    ND/Wake postponed

Meanwhile, Notre Dame is probably lobbying the ACC Commish to make head-to-head the first tiebreaker...

    ND/Wake postponed

Not cancelled, postponed. And October 3 is a week-and-a-half away (both Wake and ND have 10/3 as an open date). Seems reasonable, particularly if ND can get back the "quarantine" kids who are only being held out as a precaution right now (assuming the reason is due to "exposure" to someone...

    ND/Wake postponed

23 is 23. Miami barely gets to 85 guys INCLUDING walk-ons who have any shot at all of seeing the field. That's 25% of the team. You might be able to field enough WRs or DLs, but there were some specific positional rules (center, QB) that might become problematic when you lose 25% of ANY team.

    ND/Wake postponed

OK, maybe this is just quibbling about details (since the numbers are close), but I read 13 in "isolation" (which I thought was the treatment for a "positive test"), and 10 in quarantine (which I thought was the precaution for "came into contact/contact-tracing"). If I'm wrong on that, I would...

    ND/Wake postponed

Yeah, I was in the process of updating my post. Those are bad numbers. Keep in mind, UM is ALSO a private school. We had 0 positive tests and 1 contract-tracing quarantine last week. And it looks like we might get Payton back for F$U.

    ND/Wake postponed

I thought it was six positive tests PLUS seven contract-tracing quarantines. I don't know that Notre Dame has "close to 100 players" including walk-ons. They aren't Nebraska. But I would LOVE to see Notre Dame forced to play a bunch of Rudy's. PS, even my old numbers are wrong. 13 positive...

I know. The question was rhetorical.

What time does Hard Rock open the parking lots?

    ND/Wake postponed

I think the 10/3 Wake-ND reschedule is infinitely more likely than forcing Miami to move a game...when there is no plan for ND to reschedule UNC.

    ND/Wake postponed

I'm not sure what in the **** you are talking about. We have a bye week 10/3. We are scheduled to play Wake 11/28. You seem to suggest that we would move UM-Wake to 10/3 ("we may have just lost our bye week before we play Clemson"). Ostensibly, Wake would then have 11/28 open, and (again...
