We've had a couple of good Cali QBs. Just sayin'...

OK, no problem. Sometimes these threads slip past Page 1, and everyone forgets about stuff. I think I'm just stuck in a frustration-cycle right now with a certain type of porster, the guy who slags Matocha/Garcia when we have, literally, no other options on the table right now. And a couple...

I didn't say they are "good" or "not good". There was a poster who asked if there was a "big drop off" between Garcia and other recruits, and I provided the rankings. YES, we all know that some 3-stars become college and/or NFL stars. But we only really know that story after the fact. You...

Per Rivals: Garcia (4-star) is the #4 ranked Pro-style QB. Ron Powlus III is #24 ranked and uncommitted. All other Top 30 pro-style QBs are committed. PS, the #20 pro-style QB (committed to Wake Forest) is a UM legacy who we have not offered... Dual-threat, the #19 ranked QB is uncommitted...

    Per 247 QB rankings Pro-style: Jake Garcia is a 4-star and is ranked #4 among pro-style QBs. The first uncommitted pro-style QB is a 3-star and is ranked #33. Then #35. Then #43, #47, #48. Then #54, #57 (Ron Powlus III), and #58. #63 and #69. That's it for 3-star and above. Dual-threat...

Literally, there is a big drop-off. Please feel free to list all the uncommitted QBs and/or any committed QBs that have reciprocated interest in UM (hint, there's only 1 name on that list). In a prior thread, I listed all the uncommitted QBs, and that list has probably gotten smaller. It is...

Need to get him into ballet classes, running hurdles on the track team, anything that works on his flexibility, agility, and becoming more efficient while running. We can't turn him into Usain Bolt, but we could knock a few tenths off those times with the right kind of training.

Good coaches will tailor the system to the talent. I don't think Lashlee is anywhere near as stubborn and ****y as Enos was.

I love that all the PlayStation All-American porsters/amateur QB coaches are so knowledgeable about a Top 100 QB recruit to conclude that we shouldn't recruit him.

Look, if the QB situation becomes so desperate that we need to take 2 (i.e., any pair of Perry, Martell, Matocha choosing to leave), then I have no doubt that we will process out one of the current commits.

And? Did we retain that OC? GaTech is still bad. And F$U is worse.

I (respectfully) disagree. He loves USC. He's grown up with USC. I don't think he WANTS to leave USC, but if he does, I think that Miami is the best overall fit for him. I hear what you are saying about Kiffin, but it's Ole Miss (and let's not pretend that Kiffin won't leave if he has a...

Except...that's not what he said. Furthermore, if we keep signing grad-transfer QBs from the portal to start over anyone else on our roster, we will (eventually) lose Van Dyke too. On top of which, if you sign a grad-transfer for a 1-year rental, you don't fix the issue of depth. Meaning, in...

This is how dopey your posts are. You don't even realize that you made my point. So you think Matocha is trash? Fine. So is Martell. Which leaves King and Perry, both of whom could be gone in 3 months. Yeah, we have Van Dyke, and you want to argue that we should NOT take a QB this cycle...

This is just silly. D'Eriq King might come back for another year or he may be gone in 3 months. N'Kosi could leave at any point. Tathan probably never gets on the field again. Matocha is a big unknown at this time. And for all of this, we should voluntarily give up on signing a QB, or sign...
