    We got this bad boy Magnavox, with an Odyssey game system, in 1975 before my dad's business went belly-up. It was the last TV we had until after I went to UM. Oh, and it died long before I went to college, so I spent a good chunk of the 1980s at friends' houses watching their TVs.

    I've got all LEDs, but I know some folks have occasional issues. It would be interesting if someone could do a study on the "doorbuster" models to see if they really do have more issues than the normal models.

    All good, I would never criticize. Some people have different experiences. Sony is probably my second favorite brand, I just haven't bought their TVs in the last few years.

    Not knocking what Cribby said, but my oldest Samsung is 5 years old and I haven't had any issues. If you get the extended warranty, the "2 year" issue becomes a non-issue.

    Yeah, there are always dudes who go out and buy "too much TV" to handle (or that the wife won't allow in the house), so they always have returns. Maybe more now in the time of coronavirus. I think the guy who mentioned "holiday specials" might be right when it comes to the "doorbuster" models...

    I said it in a different response, I screwed up, I have Samsungs, not Toshibas. I would go to Best Buy, look around, learn about the models, and then see if you can get the right model from either (a) a warehouse club, or (b) Best Buy on open box special. You can also go on the Best Buy...
