Did you honestly read any of the posts? Rok is saying to do this with the players on offense. There are 10 offense-side signees (11 if you include Walker and he gets the waiver). Purely from a need-standpoint, we really don't need any of the receivers to play as TF, nor do we need TVD...

Kids only have to be at school for 3 years. Makes no difference if it's 3 years of playing (part or full time), or 2.333 years and a redshirt. If you give meaningful playing time to a kid (4 games as a true freshman), almost nobody will transfer after 1 year. "4th year junior backup", now...

Kids can also play 1/3 of the season while still redshirting. But it would somehow be better to get a kid 12 games of special teams play?

I agree, preaching to the choir. Better chance of the true freshmen doing something worthwhile in November than September.

I would simply point out that "working out" and "coaching" are two different things. Plus, we lost nearly the entire spring, which impacted all of the January enrollees.

OK, slight revision then, play the vets in our 4 OOC games, run up the score, try to crack the Top 25, let all the "man, Enos/Stroud/Stubblefield buried me" guys get 4 games of easy burn... ****, any kid that you THINK might be thinking of transferring, play him in at least 5 games. And then...

I like it. Let the true freshmen play late in the 4 OOC games, then tighten the rotation and let the upperclassmen take the 8 ACC games by themselves. Only burn redshirts if we have A TON of injuries.
