    Even so, there are quite a few left who would find the use of "Hurricane" as offensive and/or hurtful. Seems ridiculous but there were discussions, back in the '20's, about it being the wrong word because of recent experience with a devastating hurricane.

    No. Because being in the military means living in barracks and, in combat, maybe impromptu forts and bases. It used to be tents. The US military has not yet figured out how to build mom's basements for combat troops in the field.
