LMAO!! That could actually be a young Will Mallory! And, yes, if King catches it, Mabo better have a plan in place for everyone to immediately go eat some of his boogers. A booger activation plan if you will.

My point isn't that pressures aren't important. My point is that it's impossible to accurately quantify a pressure. It's incredibly subjective. What you might see as a pressure, I might see as him getting blocked. What are the criteria for determining a pressure and how accurately are they...

Pressures, unlike sacks, is a totally subjective stat. There's no sure way to quantify a "pressure."

I'm not sure that McLeod and Jennings are good enough football players no matter who's coaching them. They're slower than Alex Trebek's pulse, and they're not even instinctual or natural footballers. Flagg's slow too, but at least you can see his instincts and feel for the game unlike those 2...

Booch Davis has built a fanbase on here that rivals some other overweight leaders, and Booch did a whole lot of losing here before having his one good season. People forget that he was still losing games like this 4 or 5 years into his run here. How many times did Steve Logan kick his *** with...

His pressure is leading to almost no disruption. I don't know how they tabulate pressure stats, but watching the games, I don't see his pressure resulting in anything very often. I love Phillips and think he can be great eventually, but I'm just calling what I see.

Very well said, friend. The QB position is about leadership as much as anything. When a QB puts a team on his back, the ENTIRE TEAM is different and rallies around him. Clemson without Lawrence loses its air of invincibility. The opponent thinks they can beat Clemson, and Clemson agrees. As a...

The hope is to use these dog fights to build confidence and beat the other average teams left on the schedule. I don't think any astute football guys see this as great football even though last night was fun as **** aside from the mistakes and awful defense.

Exactly. That middle is very useful when you clear it out and have a big target there. I'm not too big on intermediate middle passing with a short QB throwing into traffic.

Not sure about all that or what Diaz was thinking, but I completely understand his decision there based on me having the same feeling about converting that 4th and goal. Football's a weird game. We pushed it in twice from the 1/2 yard line. Then, we catch a penalty and move back to the 5. Odds...

Good stuff, dude. And I have no answers on Rump. There's no reason whatsoever that he's still here.

Agree with all this. Good point on Pope gearing down on the 9 routes. I saw that last night on that deep ball that appeared to be overthrown, but I actually think it was perfectly thrown. Pope slowed down, then you could see he started stumbling like he often does on those deep routes and lost...

The defensive staff is amateur hour. A bunch of beef stews and rusty nails. We've got 3 OCs on O and a bunch of Manny's hair gel fetchers on D.

He was coaching by feel and gut and it worked out. It's a situation where the book and charts and all that probably say to go for it, but we had been shutting them down a bit in the 4th quarter, so the feel of the game had changed at that point. Get the 3 and then get the win.

I disagree. Take the sure 3, get a stop with all your TOs and plenty of time left, and then go win. The OT rules are retarded, so I'm not a fan of playing for OT.

Good because I never said that. But if you think we beat UVA last week and NCSU yesterday with Perry, then you're in la la land, good friend.

I don't think there was anything cowardly about Diaz's call. The easy call was to go for it. He made the tough call and the right call. He's a smart guy with a good feel for in game strategy. There's no questioning that.
