I don’t think being a playoff contender gets your guys drafted in the first 3 rounds. Having a team loaded with guys draftable in the first 3 rounds gets you to playoff contention. Do you see the distinction?

You’re talking about basketball. All you need to win is a couple elite players, and Duke has been paying forever. You can win in football with some elite guys and a lot of semi-elite guys. And we can do that without bags if our evaluations are great just because of our location.

Depends on the elite kids you want. If you want elite kids who are chasing bags, then we’re never going to get them. If you want elite kids like Gurvan Hall, just recruit the fck out of them and put a good product on the field and build excitement and momentum around the program.
