Mario Cristobal offers no discernable advantage

Herbert was the SIXTH overall pick in the draft, and balled out immediately in the NFL despite not having a normal preseason. This tells me how well he was coached. Yes, his stats are in comparison to Lawrence, Tua, Mac Jones, and Fields. Those QBs were playing with first and second round...

Mario Cristobal offers no discernable advantage

Lashlee is gone if the next HC is a play-calling guru with his own scheme. Said coach will have ‘run game’ and ‘passing game’ coordinators but will call his own plays. Lashlee may be gone anyway, rumor was posted he’s been entertaining HC offers.

Mario Cristobal offers no discernable advantage

I read somewhere on this board Mario tried to hire Lashlee before last season, but Lashlee choose Miami over Eugene. If that’s the case, Mario might retain Lashlee (and if Joe Morehead‘s health is a factor).

I agree Mario isn’t going to ‘lock it down’. There’s too much talent. Always has been. I do believe Mario has the respect of the area coaches to rebuild those relationships. He’s not in unfamiliar territory. He‘s proven he can evaluate. Where Mario any Miami HC will struggle is convincing an...

Mario Cristobal offers no discernable advantage

Bull F’ing ****. Herbert averaged 3,300 yards and a 30-6 TD-INT ratio his junior and senior seasons at Oregon. He didn’t have a receiving corp of first round picks like Burrow, Tua, and Mac Jones, or a supporting cast like Lawrence or Fields. So he didn’t put up basketball numbers. He was the...

Mario Cristobal offers no discernable advantage

I think Kiffin has the far superior QB in Corral. And despite the name, $EC defenses aren’t all that. Other than UGA and perhaps Bama. I’ve seen a lot of $EC games that felt like Big 12. You do make good points though. Mario is more of a CEO-type, like Dabo. Is this a problem? Time may tell.
