Maybe The Portal is low on quality OL?

If I were living in Westwood I’d rather take a short trip down Wilshire to Santa Monica and Venice.

Is it me or is Westwood Village struggling with closed restaurants and shops? I was there two weeks before Christmas, during lunch hour, and the area seemed on the decline. A lot spaces for rent. FYI - I’ve lived in LA since 1985. Currently live in Hancock Park.

Not at all. Skid Row seems to expanding. Many homeless moving out, setting small tent groups of 2-6 around Hollywood, Mid-City, and other parts of DTLA. But hey, I read the economy is booming. :rolleyes:

I’ve lived in LA for 30+ years but grew up in Tampa. I would think the LA-Miami comparison is cultural diversity and size. The ‘Greater LA’ area is huge. 17M people. Is not the same true for Miami, if you count the broader multi-county area? Wikipedia shows a 6M population.
