    I confess to being a softie when it comes to tipping. I look at the poor Barista in front of me, with the purple hair, tattoos and nose rings, and think about him owing $200K for his basket weaving degree, and my eyes KVELL and I tip him 20%.

    That happens everywhere in the world, but I would guess its more prevalent in a VAT environment.
