If we have known for months that Russia was building up for an invasion, why the heck didnt we arm/resupply Ukraine months ago?!? Same now with Taiwan, we know they are at risk, we need to help them NOW. p.s. Wouldnt the billions in arms we left behind in Afghanistan be useful now in Ukraine?

@Bender Great post, thank you. One major problem Americans have, including our governments (plural), is that we are relatively ignorant about the world. One consequence of that shortcoming is that we assume the rest of the world thinks like we do, and of course they dont.

I am honestly stunned that they would be THAT STUPID to think the Xi would play along.
