I realize its all personal preference, but not having to go to a gas station or take your car in for maintenance is awesome (even more so in this virus era). My wife and kids have gas powered cars, but they will probably be migrating to Tesla at some point too.
BTW, I am a car enthusiast as well, and have owned multiple brands. The most comfortable to ride is probably Lexus, although Tesla is not far behind, and the most fun to drive, by far, is Tesla.
