Coral Gables doesn't give af about UM....Never has. That Old Gables $$$$ will NEVER allow an on campus stadium to even remotely happen, even if we had the room, which we don't. No way on earth can you fit an on campus stadium, On 210 OCCUPIED acres....

I was there....but 89 was beyond nuts

My hearing is perfect...like it was when I was 29 in 89....I was at UM/ND in 2017...sitting with a former Cane. It was loud...but not in the same Hemisphere as 89.

I will never, ever forget 89 ND....just total bedlam.

94 FSU had nothing on 89 ND....EXCEPT one moment, the Pick6....don't get me wrong...94 FSU was raucous....but nothing compared to 89 ND.....remember, ND was #1 in the 89 game, and they were F-ing good...not like 2017 ND who were mediocre at best...

You couldn't hear yourself think at the 89 UM/ND game....Literally...

Not only louder...but wayyyyy louder. Ask people who were there for both.

I don't care what anyone says whatsoever... The Loudest games and Moments I've ever heard were at the OB....From 89 ND, 82 Dolphins (with A.J Duhe pick6 against Jets) to Hester KO vs UF...and the 91 Klingler game.

Verging on nostalgia??...I was at the 2017 game....it had absolutely NOTHING Decibel wise than 1989 OB UM vs ND....Even Lou Holtz said he's never heard anything like it. You could not hear yourself think for almost 4hrs....anyone else who was there will tell you the same thing. And that was #1...

No way is HRS even remotely louder than the OB....The loudest crowd I ever heard in the OB (Dolphins or Canes) was the 89 UM/ND game. Absolutely deafening...I was at the 2017 game, and although it was loud...it wasn't near the 1989 noise. Even on Bandys Pick6....compare it to Carlos Jones Pick6...
