Brooks was loved by the Clemson cucks around here, but Bates made it easy to forget him. There's a reason Clemson paid hum $715k as a DL coach.
He was a DL at Bama. His career really took off when he was at Jacksonville State, and then got the offer for Clemson after. Dude really knows his stuff.
Honestly glad he didnt land in the ACC, with his rise under Venables, he's definitely going to be someone to keep an eye on.
Would not have been a bad hire here.
Bates following Venables to OU is a massive loss for Clemson. He's been a huge part of the success of that defense and on the recruiting trail. This guy is climbing the ladder fast.
