He went from Bama to the NFL, though. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t fired, and Bama’s defense was still very good. W/ that being said, u’re right. The yr before, Bama’s defense was elite, and under Tosh, they became very good. Good enough for majority of the programs in America, but not Bama.

Now they do have an AD who, from what I was told, is young & competitive, that wants UCLA #1 in all things. So maybe that old mentality will change.

UCLA is such a basketball school. Lol. Unless UCLA is just being a complete *** in football, Chip winning 8-10 games/yr is good. Even when SC was down during the Donahue/Toledo eras, UCLA won 10 games only 4x in a 20 yr period. UCLA have never fully capitalized when SC was down, ironically...

Not at all, honestly. Go look at OKSt history before Gundy. Since 2010, OKSt have won 10+ games in 7 of 11 yrs, and played in 4 NY6 bowl games. He’s a coach that has done way more w/ less. Iirc, I read somewhere a couple yrs back about conference previews that OKSt, outside of Gundy’s 1st yr...

If Gundy’s RB had any power or wherewithal to cut back into the endzone from the 1 yard line, OKSt would be in The CFP. He’s a pretty **** good coach & they don’t nearly get the same caliber of players OU or UT gets.

AD gone DC gone OC gone I can see Dabo go to the NFL, struggle, & by the time Saban retires, he goes back to Tuscaloosa. Not sure if that will happen, just wouldn’t be surprised.
