Seasons 1-6 were epic television and, IMO, the best show ever. The decline started in S7 for me. Still a truly remarkable show in my top 3 all-time. Just not "best ever" in my book.

Yeah, I've been a harsh critic of S8, but I thought last night's episode was very solid. I suppose my significantly lowered expectations might have something to do with that, but I liked the ending.

Tonight's episode had a heavy Arya focus that seemed to go nowhere. That and the weak killing of Cersei and Jamie render it disappointing to me.

Question for those who read the 5 books A Song of Ice and Fire, how does it compare to the TV show? They're quite voluminous and before I embark on thousands of pages of reading I'm curious what you guys think.

I think it was when she started rocking that tight leather outfit in Season 8. Might be earlier, though.

They've killed pregnant women on the show before (Red Wedding), but I just think it makes sense like what @D RevLee is saying about having a pregnant woman sit on the throne as a cliffhanger of sorts. My gut tells me Bran sits on the iron throne, though.

Maybe that was the purpose behind Arya's *** scene. Everyone was so shocked by it, no one seems to mention the fact she could be pregnant and that makes sense for her to sit on the iron throne then.

Very interesting to see the Metacritic scores across each of the 8 seasons. I think they're pretty spot on.

S8 e1 and e2 could have been combined into one 80 minute episode to get the fluff out of the way. Last night's episode was weak and didn't even address what's going on in King's Landing.

Real talk, last night's episode was a disappointment. I get the whole "they're setting up the show for the battle" argument, but that was never the formula the first 7 seasons, they shouldn't alter what's been working thus far. The good news is the last 4 episodes are each ~80 minutes long.
