That's the kind of well written, logical post that forces me to rethink my position.

It's not just the classroom stuff, it's also the abysmal organization that exists within Dade football programs.

They also recruit in Maryland and Arizona. Look at their rosters and tell me how many in the 2-deep came from south Florida.

Well it's easier to mold some kids than others. Taking 60 kids from a cesspool educational system creates more challenges than anywhere else in the country.

I think the culture stems from the recruiting area. That doesn't let Manny off the hook for not getting them to change, but it's a geographic culture problem, not a locker room culture problem.

Of course they do, because they are surrounded by guys who grew up in different environments. Take one Miami-Dade kid and put him at Ohio State and he had better get it together in a hurry if he wants to keep up. Give UM and FIU 60 Miami-Dade kids each and you get 6-6.

Or maybe because in south Florida they grow up hearing about "getting paid". When your goal is to make it to da league, you're not all that concerned with anything except preserving yourself for the draft.
