Your post was strictly LBs and DEs and about talent over play calls. Nothing was about safeties. Make up your mind. We have more talent across the board defensively than Louisville and yet they can scheme to stop our run and we can't stop a simple stretch play.

We have 7 LBs not counting Strikers and 2-3 more coming in. We don't need more. We need better LB coaching and defensive alignments/play calls.

The only reason Carter was even in that position was because of back to back terrible coverage. Baker and Banda need to realize really quick that Carter is not a safety. He is not good in space and needs to be as close to the line as possible.

The defensive coaches are trying to offset the lack of rotating WRs on offense by over-rotating LBs on D.

Slant the line and crash down the backside LB. Cut down his running lane and allow the LBs a free slow behind the slanting DLine...some of those guys should run free to make a play or pick up a 2nd OL in the process.

I am a huge advocate of rotating guys (to a point) to keep guys fresh and get everyone game reps for depth and experience. But the volume of reps needs to go to the best players, period, who are doing it right and doing it well. If you don't start demanding accountability, the culture won't...
