Yes. You missed my point with the pre exhausting. I am saying for all we know the kid could have just been doing a chinup circuit and his forearms are fried. You have no idea what he was doing prior to deadlifting and if he really should be sticking with a double OH style DL.

Yes beleive it or not. They know more than you do even though you read the entire starting strength 3rd edition.

No it wouldn't. You don't use a double overhand to increase grip strength at the loss of deadlifting strength. Once your grip is the limiting factor you remove it and train grip using something else.

Considering the fact that you are still running Rippetoe you wouldn't understand. When you exhaust your grip to a certain point even holding 135 becomes difficult. Also, it wasn't 200lbs i saw the video it was 315. The outside weight was a bumper plate which is why it looked bigger. The kid is...

No it does not make the SC look better. Do you think the HC says to himself, well my guys are constantly getting pushed around on the line, look small, and are getting injured, BUT they are posting better numbers in the weight room than another team so I will let them stick around. NO. These...

You have no idea why he was doing that. He may have been doing a circuit with that at the end and he wanted all of his energy going towards his deadlifts instead of worry about his grip failing.

If every program in the nation is doing it. Then there is a reason for it. These guys are getting paid tons of money to make these guys the best they can possibly be. I have seen plenty of guys reach depth on squats before on a 1rm. So basically your reasoning is. Players shouldn't alt grip...

You have absolutely no idea how deep the squats were intended to go. They may be trying to build explosiveness at a certain depth. This only becomes an issue with reversing when the patella is not in a fully stable position. If you do this constantly which these guys are not doing.

You have absolutely no idea if these guys just started doing deadlifts with mixed grip from day 1.

These guys do plenty of to depth squats. However, they also do heavy quarter squats because when programmed correctly they are great for building explosiveness. They are similar to doing a box squat, except they build explosiveness in that range of motion instead of used to get past sticking points.

Wrong. There is plenty of benefits from deadlifting without straps which is why they do the alternating grip. Being a ***** has nothing to do with grip strength. You just happen to have a decently strong grip when you started out because you started lifting at such a late age.

LMFAOOOOOOO choosing to do a high bar squat does not mean they "don't know how to perform a back squat". Also, properly squatting is a lot harder than just keeping your elbows straight.

Here is Jalen hurts as a junior in HS deadlifting 565 with an alternating grip at under 200lbs. If you don't think 300 lbs guys with 4 years of College SC are going to outlift a junior in HS QB than I don't know what to tell you.

The main risk of bicep tear on an alt grip deadlift. Is maxing out with bent elbows. I have not seen that in any video that has been posted.

Well it was a safe assumption since your name is Canes1968 . How old are you? Do you work a job that would strengthen your grip? You are 100% wrong that these guys don't deadlift heavy weights. This is a promo video they aren't going to be maxing out with slow grinding sets which will not look...

The guy has no idea wtf he is talking about. He has been deadlifting for less than a year lmao. He probably heard his trainer at planet Fitness tell him he will tear a bicep alt gripping and thinks its a straight up fact now.

Really this all boils down to a guy that was deadlifting 225 pounds less than a year ago that thinks he knows more than a top football SC coach.:zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg:

You really have no idea wtf you are talking about. You are about 50 years old. Your grip is naturally going to be a **** of a lot stronger compared to your back and leg strength. Especially if you worked any sort of laboring position. So just because you personally are an outlier whose grip...

LMFAOOOOO holy schit are you delusional. So you think that D1 NFL players can't deadlift 600 lbs, but a guy who has been deadlifting for 7 months can get to 580 for 1? Saquan is a running back and can power clean 405 while in college. Almost all of our starting DBs and safeties squat over 400...
