OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Ya I thought it could have gone either way too. I am sure the highers ups requested that the younger guy with the larger fanbase should get the benefit of the doubt if the fight was a tossup.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

I gotta say I expected GGG to win, but I was wrong and do not think he was robbed. I do think GGG is past his prime at this point and needs to retire. His stamina is not what it used to be and neither is his speed.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

No its not. MMA being tall is even less important then boxing because it makes it easier for takedowns. I agree that as a short fighter you have an advantage if you can get to the inside, but that wasn't what I was getting at. I am saying that it would make sense that Hearns would be thinner...

But he had 3 inches on him. If you watch every SRL and Hearns fight SRL just is his fastest and slickest at WW where as Hearns looked his best when he was fighting at MW.

The thing about that though is weight isn't as important as your frame. For example lets say mayweather bulked up to 254. Would he be stronger then Anthony Joshua? Absolutley not because his frame isn't built to fight at that weight(lets not even get into the cardio aspect). Leonard may have...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

That is only one more weight class than Leonard and that is because he was cutting a ton of weight to make Welterweight to begin with. Otherwise you would have to put Pacquiao in the top because he has so many belts in different weight classes. The fab 4 was great for the sport of boxing and all...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Lol that is a legit strategy though. If it works it works. The thing is we also are talking about P4P rankings. Leonard was a much more natural welterweight then Hearns. If the whole moving up in class to win as many belts as possible thing never existed Leonard would be smaller then Hearns...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Hearns is a great too, but I mean he literally lost to Leonard that is why I put Leonard above him. They trained at Kronk?

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

He is 100% not the best of all time. I would probably put him in the top 15-20, but definetly not in the top 10. Sugar Ray Robinson is the greatest. Leonard is also above JCC. Greb, Armstrong, Duran, pep, Lanford, Whitaker, Ezzard Charles, Ali, Louis and there are more who I can't think of off...

I am not a Tyson fan. I hate all the overhype he gets from people that don't know **** about boxing. Lots of people put him as number 1 or 2(ali) as one because they are the only 2 fighters they have heard of. These are the same guys that put Mayweather as the GOAT now. However, to say he never...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

That is certainly not true. If you were to go to any pro boxing coach and mention those 3 fighters. They will tell you they are great. Prior to fighting tyson they were all considered legit contenders. Spinks was an undefeated gold medalist who destroyed everyone he fought ffs.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Spinks, Tucker, and Ruddock were all great fighters. Tyson single handedly ended their careers. You could say the same thing for most fighters after the mid 70s. The only recent situation that could be compared to what the old school guys did was the super 6 tournament in which Andre Ward dominated.

This is not basketball. There are a lot of great white boxers. Historically and currently.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Douglas was literally down for 10 seconds. Buster did not show the template for how to beat Tyson. Tyson was just a shell of himself. If he fought buster a year earlier Buster would have gotten obliterated. Tyson was never the same after the douglas fight either. He lacked the defensive skill...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

For Loma I expected a guy with such an elite amteur pedigree to be much better at avoiding punishment, but the thing you got to remember about him is that he only had 12 fights so far. Most guys after 12 fights are still fighting tomato cans for 6-8 rounds. Lomanchenkos first fight was for an...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Hahaha you already know my guy. Ya spence is a straight beast. Porter is great too. Garcia is great too, but its just so weird the way hes such a daddys boy and the fact that his dad does the talking for him lmao. I think Spence is better than both of them though like you said.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Facts for sure. Puerto Rico pumps out a lot of pros considering they are like 1/100th the size of mexico. per capita they are elite.

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

But the point was that Tyson would still obliterate Tommy who also fought no one. Also, Tyson really didn't fight nobody. he fought Spinks, Tucker, Ruddock. Also Bruno and Williams were both very good heavyweights. The only fighter he lost to in his prime was Holyfield. Buster Douglas you really...

OT: Golovkin or Canelo on Saturday?

Its going to be tough since Mikey has already moved up a few weight classes before and he is naturally a small guy. He already lost a good bit of power when he made his last jump. His punches just didn't sting his opponents like they did before and you can see it took a lot more punches for his...
