    Lonnie entering the draft

Shaq went against Olajuwon, Ewing, Mourning, Mutumbo, Duncan, Moses Malone, and Ben Wallace. Just to name a few. The talent in the 90s and 00s was alot greater than the 60s. The players where a lot taller as well.

    Lonnie entering the draft

Do you think they didn't lie in the old days too? They lied more back then because no internet made it easier to hide.

    Lonnie entering the draft

Considering the fact they didn't we will never know. Back in the 60s the NBA took a backseat to numerous other sports like Baseball, Football, Boxing, etc. The NBA got second tier athletes. Now every kid in America plays basketball and tons of kids parents wont even let their kids play football...

    Lonnie entering the draft

3 inches on AVERAGE is a huge difference. Especially when we are talking from 6'5 which is a regular tall person vs 6'8 which is a giant. If you see a 6'5 person walking you are like thats a tall guy. You see a 6'8 guy and your like that guy probably plays d1 basketball. Name one as fast as...

    Lonnie entering the draft

Was Nate Archibald a center? No. I was saying the average height in 50s/60s was 6'5. That is a fact. The average now is 6'8. Another fact. I can't believe you are actually trying to argue this. No one that actually was alive during Wilts time(that actually follows basketball) actually thinks...

    Lonnie entering the draft

Because compared to a bunch of 6'5 guys he was tiny. Even today you don't have many guys who are 6'1 and the guys that are, are way faster then Nate. They could be as rough as they want they aren't going to be able to stop the Shaq attack. He is to big and strong to be stopped. Wilts finger roll...

    Lonnie entering the draft

Interesting read. I agree that Wilt was more dominant in his day, but I think that has to do with the lack of talent he played against though. I disagree that the writer thinks Shaq would have not done well in the 60s I think he is biased.

    Lonnie entering the draft

Well it was rumored that shaq could bench 700 lbs. Rumors dont mean anything. Use common sense of course shaq is stronger then Wilt. Bench also doesnt mean **** in basketball Squat and Deadlift are much more important for backing someone down and boxing out. It is common sense that the newer gen...

    Lonnie entering the draft

I am sure he wanted to win badly, but that doesnt make you a good teammate. I am sure Marburry also wanted to win bad. Yes it was because he was tall. Put Shaq in that league and he would lead the league in blocks. Shaq is WAY stronger then Wilt. And playing tight end for the chiefs in the 60s...

    Lonnie entering the draft

Because its alot different being a fully functional 7 footer and being a guy 7'7 and being so compromised that you cant even play a full half without doing damage to your knees. Regardless he averaged like 5 blocks a game in the 18 min he played. How old are you? Yea he was big and tall and fast...

    Lonnie entering the draft

Facts. Shaq would have been a mismatch if they played against each other. Just get him the ball in the paint and its an automatic 2 points.

    Lonnie entering the draft

ya they are in the HOF because they have like 8 rings each at minimum. Just starting in that many ships will get you a ring. Basically every one agrees that wilt was the marburry of his era. I don't need to hear people talk about the league I watch it with my own eyes. They sucked back then...

    Lonnie entering the draft

lol. I agree with you there. when your 7 foot 1 and athletic going against a bunch of 6'4 white dudes who look like they play at the local YMCA its not hard to dominate.

    Lonnie entering the draft

That is one game they played many times with Russel having won the majority of the matchups. Russells team was not that much better he is just a way better team player then Wilt. That is why you always hear about Marburry and Carmello being compared to Wilt in that they are great players, but...

    Lonnie entering the draft

I agree with you, but the NBA realized people would rather buy gear and jerseys of guards then the center so they needed to find a way to make the superstars of the teams guards instead of the centers like it was back in the day.

    Lonnie entering the draft

Russell used to tear that *** up at 220. Wilt would get destroyed today if he didn't foul out.

    Lmao yup.

    Lonnie entering the draft

I was thinking the exact same thing. That was the biggest b*tch move I ever seen in the sports. KD is soft though and has no heart.

    Lonnie entering the draft

hahah I believe it bro. I know for a fact the guys that played in the 90s and early 00s would stomp any of the new guys in a fight. I even remember as a kid playing at the park kids would be shoving each other and getting physical on every play. I was at the park a few weeks ago and the younger...

Hopefully he actually reps the U like the football players do. I rarely saw Larkin rep the U and I saw 95% of his games on the nets and the knicks.
