Overall, Malzahn’s a better coach than Chizik, which is why he got another job, probably could’ve held out for a P5, while Chizik is a 3rd team announcer at the worldwide leader. Not saying Malzahn is great, but it doesn’t take greatness to be better than Chizik.

You’d take Norvell and Taggart without ANY doubt? You must be the trusting sort....and I’m far from being sold on Manny as being anything more than a stopgap.

yeah maybe he retired I don’t remember, I’m just assuming he was fired, usually people do after a winless season. I have to Google it but I just haven’t had a free second to do that just only enough time to post here.

Off the top of my head he was fired from both ND, before even started the job (but was already hired) because of faking his resume or some made up bullshlt on his resume, and then obviously fired from UCF for having a winless season.

This is what both schools self report: UCF approximately 70,000; USF Approximately 50,000. I have the links if anybody’s interested

You don’t want him because of the trash offense he runs,... and neither would any sane person, so what exactly is your point? I don’t think he’s going to be a success at UCF

That’s the exact thing I’m saying - it’s not opposite. If he’s not up to the task, he’s done. Never get a decent football job again. Unless he’s just doing it for the money, then it’s no risk for him, and he can just retire after this gig. I don’t think that’s his personality though

High risk move for Malzahn to take this step down to a directional G5 school. He could have waited and probably snagged a decent P5 job in a year or two. The risk is, if he falls on his face here, he’s done as a serious P5 head-coaching candidate.
