Ariz was probably not a great talent evaluator, no one should actually expect him to be. Because it’s possible he didn’t know what he was looking at. He’s a guy that had some inside connections, and did well with that, but that doesn’t make him have a keen eye for college football talent.

Yes, and those guys opinions carry weight. Several were also the same that say he had a legit and commitable offer - in this thread - which was the one that was bumped. But while there are a small handful of people here whose evaluations mean something because they have first hand knowledge...

He didn’t have an offer according to whom? Not according to people here that would supposedly knew - I’m going by what was stated in this thread, which is the whole basis for discussion.

I mean who said he wasn’t prioritized? How do you know this? The people in the know said he had committable offers, I don’t really think anybody knows what kind of priority they put on him. That’s not the kind of thing the coaching staff back then would’ve discussed with anyone from the...

I read through this thread. The people that would know said he had a commitable offer. The rest was just porsters porsting guesses as to who would be better.
