Agreed, and that's why I originally referenced SP+, because that accounts for success rate as well as explosive rate, so in your example, that 75 yard run on 3rd and 2 is factored much more than just a successful play, which I agree with you, makes sense to look at. Of course.

What do you mean by that? Like it’s not opponent adjusted?

Success rate pretty much nails it all.

If you want an all encompassing look, check out SP+. It takes pretty much everything into account. Miami was 11th in 2016 16th in 2017 14th in 2018

That’s incredibly insulting to idiots. Shame on you.

I truly feel so bad for people like you. Deadass. You’re so incredibly dull, and you have no idea that you are. Terrifying.

It’s plenty good enough, when paired with an equivalent offense and the talent of other championship contenders, to win anything we want to here. I just don’t understand why we get so hung up on this around here. There are about 100 reasons why Miami is where they are and are not where we want...

The point is he was good against everyone, hence the reason he was drafted and is still being paid to play football professionally. But he had a sub-par game for his standards against us. As most offenses do, because Miami had one of the better defenses in the country from 2016 to 2018.

Logan Woodside (Toledo): Completion percentage, YPA, and rating all well below his season averages. Woodside was also drafted and has hung on in the NFL on practice squads and rosters for 3 years now. He’s an NFL player. He was well below average in every metric vs Miami. Daniel Jones (Duke)...

I’ve pointed out countless times on this board that this nonsense narrative of QBs looking like Heisman winners and every offense with a pulse just bludgeoning us is just that...nonsense. Anyone who says that doesn’t watch games with a football brain, they use them to get fatter and drunk on...

I did basically this same exact thread a couple weeks ago. Great job, Lance, you dug deeper and presented it better. But the bottom line remains, nearly 90% of the teams we played while Manny was the DC had a BELOW AVERAGE game on offense. Sometimes well below average, but almost every single...
