There'd be some lovely real estate opening up in Coral Gables if we did that. The NCAA would raze the football programme to the ground. We'd be able to turn Greentree into condos.

You're getting a free ride through College (whether you take up that opportunity is another matter), potentially bags AND the NIL deals now. **** yeah I'm going to boo you if I feel like it.

I think the point is he's recruiting well 'for Oregon'. Those 'dominant' Kelly teams were successful because he picked up undersized, undervalued, speed players and put them in a breakneck offence. He never recruited studs.

If Oregon can stack those type of players in the trenches, why can't we? Mario is meant to be a killer recruiter - I assume that means he's a very good evaluator too?

I mean if Alabama and Georgia are your benchmark then only LSU a couple of years ago had an elite roster (before they were all drafted in the first round!). I'm not a Mario fan, per se, but he has to get them to play in Bum****, Oregon. That's not the easiest sell.

I'd happily take the bet that they wouldn't win easily i.e. by 3 TDs, sure.

I'm not sure they would. Chip Kelly's teams were revolutionary, but everyone has caught up to that style of offence now. Every other team runs an up-tempo spread.
