Negative, 100% deserves the MVP. He was by far the most dynamic and influential player in the league. Just feel he needs to work on some things in order to sustain the success. Time will tell.
Then there is this:
Edleman QB > Jackson QB
When he is not winning Superbowl MVP's, sending post *** selfies and getting into it with hoods.
* Edleman 158.3 postseason passer rating
Your thoughts?
Playoff QB's are Tannehill, Brady, Watson, Allen, Lamar, Mahomes, Brees, Cousins, Wentz, Garappolo, Roger's, Russ. One game to win, IMO, Lamar beats about Allen & Cousins. Maybe Tannehill. Not sure after that.
If u want to get real, all of this is in coaching. Go back to peewee ball, middle school, high school, college, etc. Rather than coaching up these young bucks, these hacks exploit the kids talents. Eventually, they find themselves in the league realize everyone else is big, fast, and...
Only problem with that is that he would get beat up. Bottom line. QB needs to get the ball to play makers. Use athleticism to prolong plays. Russell, Roger's, Mahomes, are great examples. They are athletic guys, but make plays with there arms...
I actually dont feel any way in particular about Lamar. He is awesome to watch and think the narrative on him was BS. Lamar 100% earned the MVP and deserves all the accolades he had this year. With that said, the success for QB's with run first mentality usually is short lived.
That's why I caution the enthusiasm with San Fran. I know Russ & Roger's can put one of those gems together in the clutch. Have to see Garappolo do it..
Agreed, still does not change the fact that he has to become a better passer. What LJ does is amazing. But every now and then a QB will find his team down and have to make some throws. Not sure Lamar can do this consistently enough.
