In Romero's defense, he thought the pitcher would field it cleanly. He slowed down to avoid a potential tag. I don't know what that would buy him though.

I cannot understand why Gino doesn't start Long in center and Burke in right. Gutierrez is a liability in right and he doesn't hit that well. I just don't get it.

Credit Gino for sending Romero. I didn't think the ball was hit deep enough considering Romero is carrying extra baggage in his caboose.
