Speaking of scheduling, I just noticed that this season we scheduled a bye week before facing that juggernaut FIU. Do we really an extra week to get ready for them or do we need a breather after running that gauntlet of Coastal powers in October?
But if the rest of the schedule included a Wagner, most likely not. Think La Tech and 2000. Also, in 2017, when we were still 11-0, there was a lot of talk of Wisconsin taking the spot in the playoffs instead of us based on strength of schedule.
Who cares what everyone else is doing. We have to do what's best for us. No one is calling for a schedule like the 70's. But a game against Wagner does nothing for us.
