Jacurri Brown gaining steam as '22 QB

****. I'm hurt by your mad clever nicknames for me, man. But anyway, welcome back. You go with lawn bowling or darts?

What's really sad is you've been on this message board over nine years and you don't know anything about football. But that's ok. Maybe football just isn't your speed. Maybe a very simple, non-contact sport like darts or lawn bowling is more in line with your talents.... And lucky for you...

If you aren't impressed, that's fine. But saying that should have been "an easy touchdown" is painfully uninformed and shows you've never played a down of organized football in your life. Maybe sitting on your couch w/ a beer and a bag of Doritos while playing Madden that's "an easy...

In a college field the hash marks are 20 yards from the near sideline and 40 feet apart. So from the far hash mark to the sideline is 100 feet, which I'll round down to 33 yards. The video shows the ball travels about 31 yards downfield in a straight line. Reaching back for to my geometry...

You and everyone else on this board, brother! Jokes aside, I am far from a legit talent evaluator, but I try to look at the traits a recruit shows on a play over the result of the play itself, if that makes sense. And Brown is showing a legit arm strength (and some toughness) on that play...

I think what @HighSeas is trying to point out there is the pass is 30+ yards downfield, from the far hash mark to the opposite sideline, with a defender in his face and Brown not stepping into the throw at all. He's a kid with inconsistent mechanics, but that throw shows a lot of pure arm strength.

Yeah, I am not a QB expert but even I could see he wasn't resetting his base before he threw a lot of those balls. Coaching + scheme + repetition and with his natural tools a lot of these accuracy issues can be cleaned up. He's definitely a high upside recruit at QB.

This is basically where I am at.

LoL. In a typical recruiting season, there's at most a handful of HS QBs with no question marks. And for 2022, that guy's name is Quinn Ewers and he's an O$U commit.

That's a fair point. I was looking at him as a QB. Those athletic traits may well translate at another position, but even there he is likely a project and how he grows and develops will be huge.

You are assuming a lot about the way his competition played him based on the results (i.e., passing and rushing numbers). But, even taking your assumptions as true, in all fairness, it should at the very least say one more thing: he's an even better runner of the ball than you first thought...

Turn that **** back on and watch the second run! You'll see him truck a kid (who stays down) in the hole, then nearly break the next kid's ankles.
