    I'm with you. The point of my first post was to show that a coaches first year may, or may not, reflect what type of coach he'll be in the following years. We don't need a "great" coach. A very good coach who can recruit and motivate can do some serious damage here. Hopefully Manny is that guy.

    I took a look back since I've been a fan and applied that question to those coaches: ,77 Saban (3-8)- NO '79 Schnellenberger (5-6) - Nice win vs #19 PSU but we did the same thing vs. #19 Auburn with Saban the year prior- NO '84 JJ (8-5)- The D fell apart at the end of the season but great start...
