It's not meant to be a troll. I would take Patchan over any DE on this roster except Johnson. He's a quality starting Edge who knows our scheme inside and out and can give 40-45 snaps a game. We would immediately improve our run Defense by adding Patchan

Yeah it's probably not realistic. I was just curious with the new Portal rules if he would be interested. It would be a huge help on our DL. A rotation of Deandre Johnson Scott Patchan and then Harvey and chance coming in for them would be solid

Idk the ACC OL is pretty weak. I don't think FSU, Louisville,Duke,GT and etc have a much better OL then the teams Patchan faced Wyoming,Fresno State, SD State and Boise State. Sure Clemson,VT and Boston College do but most of the ACC teams have mediocre OL

Rousseau was wrecking practice, scrimmages and the spring game

He had 1 sack and played 243 snaps... Jesus christ thats even worse then him not having much experience. At least you had the unknown factor. He sure didn't make much of those 243 snaps because I barely noticed him playing

Rousseau was a special talent. Me wanting him to start over Patchan has nothing to do with seniority. It has everything to do with seeing Rousseau was dominant everytime he stepped on the field. Harvey and Chantz aren't like that.

70-80 snaps is barely any experience. Our pass rush was a disaster in the OK State game

Patchan was dominant for Colorado State last year and is a hard worker who knows our scheme and is very good setting the edge and has improved his pass rushing ability. He would immediately come in here and be the starter opposite johnson.

That's because he started him over an All American Caliber DE... we don't have any of those anymore. No one would care if they started him over chantz/Harvey

Any chance we can get him back? He's got to be like 25 now lol. 22 Tackles 7.5TFL and 5.5 Sacks in 4 games for Colorado State last year. Him and Johnson would be a solid starting Edge unit
