Exactly! We need good coaches more then we need good Recruiters. When you only hire good Recruiters it builds terrible culture because these coaches told these players whatever they wanted to hear to get them here.

He's not going to come to Arizona State unless he wanted to play for Likens. Likens was his OC and QB coach.

I don't see him as a lazy cheap hire at all. He got promoted to be Herm Edwards OC for a reason. It just didn't work out. He's only been fired one time in his career every other job was a promotion. Daniel's still came to play for Likens so weather Pierce recruited him or not does not matter.

He's Recruiting classes were top 35 while he was OC. He recruited Jayden Daniel's to come play for him. Tbh I rather have a good coach over a good recruiter any day of the week. If he can coach and develop our WRs then that's all that matters to me.

Lol he just put Nkeal Harry into the NFL and Arizona State is going to have another WR get drafted earlier this season. Kansas has been dreadful for 20 years so I'm not going to hold it against him for struggling there

We don't have a weak schedule. We play FSU,Wake Forest,Pitt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. All of these teams are quality opponents.

He was the Offensive Cordinator at Arizona State and Kansas. He was the WR coach at Arizona State,Cal and Temple. Yes I do think Cal and Arizona State are solid Pac 12 teams. He just put 2 WRs in the NFL at Arizona State. We can't just cherry pick any WR coach we want.

Rob Likens is considered a solid recruiter and has developed some NFL Caliber WRs at Arizona State. Nkeal Harry was a first round pick last year. Brandon Aiyuk is expected to be a 2nd-3rd round pick. We have South Florida guys like Hypolite,Cooney and Fields for South Florida Recruiting...

Hiring a former OC with significant experience being a OC,WR Coach and QB Coach is making his job difficult. Likens is over qualified to work as a WR coach under Diaz tbh
